The Story Behind the Fabric

Some fabrics practically tell you what they want to become.

This beautiful pink-and-natural tweed came home with me from Istanbul, sourced from a fabric shop I discovered while wandering through the city’s textile world. Its soft pink tones, natural fibers, and subtle texture caught my eye immediately—and I knew I wanted to bring it back to the studio.

[SHOP NAME] is one of those fabric stores where it’s very easy to walk in looking for one thing and leave imagining an entirely different wardrobe, home, or half-dozen projects. This particular tweed has been waiting patiently for its turn.

And I have plans.

This is one of those textiles I’m especially excited to keep working with, so what you see here is just the beginning. More pieces will follow as the fabric makes its way through the studio.
