Istanbul Shirt + Denim

A little piece of Istanbul, brought home and waiting for the right projects.

I found this unexpected combination of denim and shirting fabric at a fabric shop in Istanbul during a trip home in 2024. The contrast of sturdy denim with the lighter, softer shirting caught my eye, and naturally, I brought it home to the studio.

This is a limited textile: once this fabric is gone, these pieces are gone with it. I’m reserving most of the yardage for larger projects, with only a small portion set aside for smaller goods like key fobs and accessories.

Every piece made from this fabric carries the same little bit of history: fabric found in Istanbul, brought home to Southern California, and given a new life in the studio.

What you see here is all there will be.
